About the role
What you'll do
Supabase is hiring an engineer to own how its Postgres builds are packaged, released and upgraded. You'll maintain the public supabase/postgres repository that produces Docker images and AWS AMIs, ship major, minor and extension upgrades on time, and help fix production issues in customer deployments.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on PostgreSQL knowledge, including extensions and performance tuning
- Solid infrastructure and tooling experience
- Packaging with Nix flakes or Debian packages, or a strong willingness to learn them
- Comfort improving CI pipelines, testing and release workflows (GitHub Actions)
- A self-directed style that works well in an async, distributed team
Fully remote and open worldwide, including all African countries; Supabase hires globally and works asynchronously with no fixed hours.
