About the role
What you'll do
Supabase is hiring an engineer for Supabase Storage, its fast-growing object storage product. You'll work across the whole stack — storage server, CDN and edge network, client libraries and CLI — improving upload resilience, asset delivery, analytics buckets and open file formats like Iceberg. You'll also handle escalated platform issues and contribute to open-source dependencies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering with Node.js in production
- Experience building highly scalable, distributed systems
- Comfort with deployment, monitoring and scaling, plus observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus or Grafana
- Production PostgreSQL tuning and troubleshooting experience
- Strong ownership and empathy for developer experience
Fully remote and open to candidates worldwide, including anywhere in Africa; Supabase works asynchronously with no fixed hours.
