About the role
What you'll do
Supabase is hiring a platform engineer to design and run the distributed services behind its managed Postgres platform. You'll build APIs, background jobs and event-driven pipelines in TypeScript and Go, improve reliability, observability and cost, and own service SLOs including incident reviews.
Requirements
- Solid experience designing and operating distributed systems (fault tolerance, partitioning, consensus)
- Around 5+ years building production services in TypeScript and/or Go
- Comfort with AWS, containers and infrastructure as code (Pulumi or Terraform)
- Good grasp of API design, multi-tenant architecture, networking and security
- Willingness to join an on-call rotation
Fully remote and async; Supabase hires globally, so candidates can be based anywhere, including across Africa.
