About the role
What you'll do
Zipline, the drone delivery company serving health systems across Africa, is hiring a Principal Counsel to lead legal and compliance for its African operations. You will run compliance programmes covering sanctions, anti-bribery and export controls, manage disputes across African markets, track regulatory changes and advise the Africa leadership team.
Requirements
- Significant experience advising on legal and compliance matters, ideally in international or emerging markets
- Strong judgment and comfort making independent decisions
- Ability to turn complex regulation into practical guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders
- Willing to travel up to about 25% to Africa and San Francisco
Fully remote and open to candidates anywhere, including across Africa; works closely with Zipline's Africa leadership.
