About the role
What you'll do
Supabase is hiring an engineering manager for Spark, its push to run agentic databases at a scale of millions of new databases a day. You will build and coach a remote team, own hiring, the roadmap and weekly updates, and keep support SLOs on track. You will also train as an incident commander and help set the bar for design and code quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years in engineering, with credibility on backend and database systems
- 3+ years managing remote, globally distributed engineering teams
- Experience at a cloud, SaaS or developer-tools company
- Familiarity with Postgres access control (roles, grants, RLS); SQLite knowledge is a plus
- Has taken a developer-facing API or platform from early stage to production
Fully remote and open worldwide, including all African countries; the team works asynchronously across time zones.
