About the role
What you'll do
Kraken, the crypto exchange, is hiring a mid-level engineer for the team behind its Pro trading backend, which includes the matching engine, market data gateways and trading APIs. You'll write fast, well-tested Rust and C++ services for revenue-critical, low-latency systems alongside a large global engineering group.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Background building financial or trading products
- Async and network service development in Rust
- Modern C++ for performance-sensitive systems
- Understanding of distributed systems, RPC and Kafka
Fully remote. South Africa is the only African country among the eligible locations, which also include Brazil, Poland and Romania.
