About the role
What you'll do
Mercor is sourcing South African English voices for an AI lab building text-to-speech for a customer-service agent. You will record conversational, narrative and instructional scripts with varied emotion and emphasis over a single session of about four hours, with a possible follow-up session.
Requirements
- Native English speaker with an authentic South African accent
- Clear, expressive voice; acting experience is a plus, not required
- Near-professional home recording setup (good mic, quiet room)
- Precise script reading with natural delivery
- Consent to your voice being cloned for this one client use
Remote, but you must currently live in South Africa. Openings are filled on a rolling basis.
