About the role
What you'll do
A hands-on role that also manages Circle's AI Quality team. Build the systems that test and score Circle's AI agents: evaluation pipelines, scorers and datasets. Find where agent planning or tool use breaks down, set up annotation and simulated-data workflows, and run prompt and model experiments to improve quality, cost and speed.
Requirements
- 7+ years shipping production software, ideally including tool-using AI agents
- Ruby on Rails or Python
- Has built evaluation or observability tooling (e.g. Braintrust, LangSmith)
- English at C2 level
Remote across EMEA and APAC. Async team, plus equity.
