About the role
What you'll do
Canonical's finance team is preparing the business for a planned IPO and is hiring an Accountant with solid IFRS knowledge. You will own part of the ledger, support month-end reporting, help with the year-end audit and statutory accounts, and look for ways to make finance processes faster and more reliable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar, plus a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of IFRS
- Experience in a large accounting firm or a multinational's accounting team is preferred
- NetSuite or a comparable enterprise finance system
- Willingness to travel up to four times a year
Remote from anywhere in EMEA time zones, which covers African countries (an office option in London also exists).
