About the role
What you'll do
M-KOPA is hiring a senior backend engineer for its electric-motorbike financing business, building event-driven .NET microservices that help riders across Africa own their bikes. You'll join a team that owns its services end to end, from design choices through production monitoring, under a DevOps and continuous-delivery culture.
Requirements
- Solid C#/.NET development experience
- Event-driven and microservice architecture work using Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar
- Azure experience, or AWS/GCP
- Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus and Grafana
- Strong habits around automated testing and deployment
Fully remote within UTC-1 to UTC+3, with hubs listed in Nairobi, Lagos, Accra, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Kampala. It starts as a 12-month fixed-term contract that may be extended or made permanent.
